More Chainz, No Lies

He was the star of the last video breakdown. His tag team partner on this track has been in the news a lot this week. 2 Chainz ft. Drake, No Lie, let's break it down.

(0:00-0:12) 2 Chainz in black and white again. Way to change it up from Mercy.

(0:13-0:20) Good to see 2 Chainz still wearing a fun hat. I'm saying this is a train conductor hat. Strong play, a lesser rapper would have just trotted out the captain's hat, and we've all seen that before.

(0:21-0:24) Who's that lurking in the background? I think that's Drake. If there is a champagne bottle in this video 2 Chainz and the girls may have to be careful.

(0:26-0:27) A shot of an hourglass. That ups the artistic value of this video 2 Fold(that should be read in 2 Chainz voice).

(0:28-0:40) There has been stuff/paint dripping on the walls this whole video, and now its dripping on a naked model. Good hustle. Not a lot is going on in this video so far. The 2 Chaniz dancing is at a minimum.

(0:50-0:51) The obligatory rap video close up on a girl's ass. No complaints here.

(0:59-1:25) Drake time. What is Drake wearing? Camo pants and a wife beater, was Lil' Wayne cleaning out the Cash Money closet. Why doesn't Drake shave anymore? But hey, when you're in a 2 Chainz video you gotta wear sunglasses too. I also like the shots of the lie detector, really brings home the name of the song.

(1:28-1:30) Drake just started his verse, said 2 Chaniz, and it was not followed by a 2 Chainz in the background. Fail.

(1:31-1:40) Is Drake wearing transition lenses? During the chorus they were sun glasses, but now that he's rapping, and using a hookah, those lenses look pretty clear.

(1:45-1:59) The dripping paint is now in Drake's hookah room. It's probably because this is the part of the song where he talks about Rihanna.

(2:00-2:08) I'm giving Drake the benefit of the doubt here since he is a cool guy, those are not transition lenses it's just the lighting.

(2:09-2:10) Another 2 Chainz mention by Drake not followed by a 2 Chainz in the background. He's slipping.

(2:14-2:20) Random skateboarder doing skateboarder things. I'm sure I'm supposed to know who this is, just like I was supposed to know that was Kid Cudi dancing in the Mercy video.

(2:37-2:40) Some pretty solid 2 Chainz dancing here.

(2:42-2:45) 2 Chainz outfit change, and for a second I thought he only had one chain on. If you are going to call yourself 2 Chainz, the two chains need to be obvious. Also, he is wearing a snap back hat, backwards, and unsnapped.

(2:46-2:54) 2 Chainz is good at casting. That's all I'm going to say.

(2:55-3:00) Yes!! More 2 Chainz dancing.

(3:08-3:09) I love the steering wheel dance move.

(3:10-3:40) Not a lot is going on here. 2 Chainz and Drake are going through the chorus. The video girl is now wearing white instead of black. She has a mask on. It probably means something.

(3:41-3:53) Ending credits. Everyone looks pretty solid in there final shot.

(3:55-3:57) 2 Chainz closes us out with a "True".

Good song, OK video. 2 Chainz's  dancing and fashion choices always make me happy, and it's fun to have Drake around, unless you're Chris Brown.
